We are sorry for this inconvenience.
Welcome to our website.
We are the Knights of the Four Quarters, a group of enthusiastic people who enjoy reliving the Middle Ages.
We are a re-enactment or living history group that focus on the Middle Ages, the days of knights and castles, the years 1300 to 1400. We do this in two beautiful locations in the country.
Each month we visit Castle Doornenburg and Castle Limbricht.
These meetings allow us to see life from the Middle Ages point of view. There are not only swordsmen and archers, but these men and woman had to eat aswell. You can take a look at our medieval kitchen and see how they did things in the Middle Ages. Maybe you even dare to try a bite yourself, it is cooked for the group in a medieval manner.
There are all kinds of crafts on display during our meetings. There are people who make clothes and show how to write using quill on parchment. Or if you even want to see how chain mail was made or how they used to make bows and arrows. Or would you rather do some tin casting.
It is possible to take a closer look at our weapens and armour. Do you have an idea how much a chain mail weighs? or a sword or a helmet? Maybe you would like to shoot an arrow with one of our archers, or would you prefer to challenge one of the swordsmen?
Besides our regular meetings you can also see us in various events such as the Lage Landen Riddertoernooi on and around Castle Doornenburg in July where we already organize the 4th edition of this medieval tournament . Will you come and visit us at this event?
In short there is plenty to see and do at our meetings.
On this website you can find all sorts of stories, descriptions, reports, recipes and pictures from our meetings and events.
If you register on the site, you can also upload pictures or comment on photos you see.
Also, you can write an article in respond to an event.
You can also comment in the guestbook.
We would love to hear from you.
Enjoy our website.
